Introduction
One day, while I was a TV chef on a popular cooking show, I had a guest who requested a recipe for a dish that combined the sweetness of honey with the spiciness of chili. Being a Swedish chef, this was not a flavor combination I was familiar with, but I was up for the challenge. I decided to create a recipe for Sweet and Spicy Honey Glazed Chicken, and let me tell you, it was a hit!
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, chili sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and brush both sides with the honey glaze.
- Bake the chicken thighs for 25-30 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken thighs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve the Sweet and Spicy Honey Glazed Chicken with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables.
